Saturday Sketch Challenge 10/31

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!

Since I saw a couple of Christmas Trees up today, I decided to do a Christmas Card for the UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge. You can see the sketch here on the UDI Blog and links to all the other members who participate weekly in this challenge. But don't think that doesn't mean you can't participate as well. Feel free to give us your take on this challenge!!!!!

Our Special Challenge this week was to use the Big Shot with our layout. I thought it would be fun to do a window card with the Movers and Shapers Die. I used the Stampin' Up! Holiday Window Dies for the shape and it cut through all four layers of the front of the card!!! How cool is that! Here's the card!

Supplies:

Stamps: Delightful Decorations

Cardstock: Real Red (I know, it looks a little orange here but it really is!), Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper

Ink: Real Red

Accessories: Movers and Shapers Die, Holiday Windows Dies, Real Red 1/2" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Elastic Cord

Have a safe Halloween!!!!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge 10/24

I am working on my Certification for MDS and this is the card I did today for that. I so love this. Now, nothing takes the place of the feel of a wood stamp in my hand but this is an awesome planning tool and if I print a lot of these cards and people throw them away after Christmas, my feelings would not be hurt so bad! So, here it is!!!!!!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge 10/17

I had soooo much fun yesterday at Stamp Camp! Even though most everyone was sick, schooling, or getting their plumbing fixed, Debbie and Carlene came. Haven't seen either of them for over a month as they are our World Travellers these days LOL! so we had fun catching up and playing!

So, on to today's sketch. I had a harder time than usual with this one because I wanted to do pumpkins again but I've done so many lately, I needed a change. I colored our Night and Day Designer Series Paper with a sponge and my Real Red inkpad and came up with this. Hope you like it!!!! You can see the sketch over at the Utah Divas Blog

Supplies:

Set: Christmas Tags Hostess Set

Cardstock: Real Red, Night and Day Designer Series Paper

Ink: Basic Black, Real Red

Accessories: Wide Oval Punch

Have a great week!!!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge 10/10

Oh, I so love our Saturday Sketch over at Utah Divas!!! They are a lot of fun! You can see this week's sketch here

The center portion of the sketch reminded me of a new technique over at Technique Junkies called Faux Painted Panelling. I couldn't resist making the panels into a fence and hanging my little Pumpking there!
Supplies:
Set: Pumpkin Patch (Holiday Mini)
Ink: Basic Black, Going Grey, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Basic Black, Confetti White, Cast-a-Spell Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Metal Edge Tag (small) - I used a black Marks-a-lot to color the edges of the tag black, Stampin' Dimensionals.
