MDS Monday 3/28

It's time for another MDS (My Digital Studio) Monday!  I love these challenges!  Unfortunately, I've had to do a few sympathy cards lately so I'm going to send these to be printed so I'll have some on hand.  I think they'll be good not only for sympathy but for anyone that's just having a tough time.  Enjoy!

Have a wonderful week!

Saturday Sketch Challenge

Today's card is a REAL out of the box for me but sometimes you get an idea and you just have to do it. Here is the sketch:

So I was going to do a cute little sun with the little face in the middle but then I thought of this travel paper and it seemed that all the roads on it lead to a middle section.  Hope you guys see it too LOL!   You can see what the rest of the design team has done with this over at the UDI Blog.  So here's my card!

Hope you like it!!!  Head on over to Tammy's Blog to see her wonderful creation!!!!  Have a great week!

MDS Monday

Hi all!  We are slowly but surely drying out here!  It's a beautiful day today and makes me anticipate the arrival of Bluebonnets, our beautiful state flower.  I took this picture on the way to Venus, Texas which is south of the DFW metroplex.  I hope you enjoy this simple 12x12 page!

Have a wonderful week!

Saturday Sketch Challenge 3/19

We had a water leak in my mom's room and everything is torn up and overflowing into my craft area.  Sooooooo, I'll have to wait to play until next week.  However, I'll play Carol's trick and post a card I didn't get to a couple of weeks ago, just so you'll have something to look at!
This is the card I was trying to make when the mojo fairy flew away!  She finally came back.  The Bird and "No. 147" on the take are from the Nature's Sketch set and the bird cage is from My Digital Studio's Nature set.

For the real sketch this week,  just skip on over to Tammy's Blog and see what wonderful idea she's come up with!  You can also check out the sketch over at the UDI Blog.

MDS Monday 3/14

Today is My Digital Studio Monday!  I love the challenges Brandy is giving us each week.  This week, our challenge is to create something green.  Since St. Patrick's day is this week, I decided to do a card for that!
To see what the other designers have done, check out the group on the Utah Divas International Blog

I hope you have a wonderful week!!!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge 3/12

What a beautiful weekend we are having!  We are blessed to have my 21 month old great nephew staying with us over Spring Break this coming week.  He is so sweet and makes us laugh!  The other day, I sneezed and this little tiny voice said "Bless you!", how sweet is that!!!  So speaking of sweet things, this little set from the Occasions mini paired with a Baby Wipe plaid technique just sings of spring to me!  Check out the Sketch for this week over at the Utah Divas International (UDI) blog HERE.  You can follow the links there to the rest of the Design Team OR you can follow the link at the bottom of this post to do our weekly "Sketch Skip".  Here's my card:

Set:  Easter Blossoms
Cardstock:  Glossy White, Whisper White, Certainly Celery
Ink:  Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Early Espresso
Accessories:  Scallop Trim Border punch, 1/4" Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon

Next on our skip is the ever awesome Tammy Fite, you can see her project for this week HERE.

Hope you all have a great weekend and as we count our blessings this week, I hope we will keep all the people effected by the Tsunamis and Texas wildfires close in our hearts and prayers!

MDS Monday 3/7

Welcome to MDS Monday!!!!  This week's challenge from our fearless leader, Brandy, over at the UDI Blog is to use punches on our My Digital Studio project.    Here's what I did:

This is a 6x6 card. I am really loving So Saffron and Basic Grey together.  Punches used:  Butterfly punch filled with Designer Series Paper (DSP), Scallop edge punch and Square punch.  The cool thing about using punches is that you can alter their shapes and then fill them with "paper".  I did this is two places with the Square punch:  the background paper is a filled square punch and the light colored rectangle behind the butterflies is the square punch formed into a rectangle.  Pretty great, huh???  I liked it so much that I created a Thank you card as well!  Here it is:

On this one I stretched the squre into a rectangle and filled it with DSP then I filled the Butterfly punch with the same DSP.  Hope you enjoy!!!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge 3/5

Hi there!  It's been a wonderful week here weather-wise!  With today's sketch I wanted to show you how versatile our Designer Series Paper is.  I apologize in advance, because I didn't realize this paper is retired until after I already had the card done.  This is a Christmas paper we had in the Holiday Mini called Deck the Halls.  I have used the "non-Christmas" side of the paper for this card and you can't even tell it was supposed to be Christmasy (is that a word?????)  You can see the sketch for this week's card over at the UDI Blog where you can also find a list of all the Designers for this challenge.  We've made it easy for you, though.  All you have to do is follow the link at the bottom of this post to "skip" to the next Designer in line.

Here's my card!

Supplies:

Set: Charming
Cardstock:  Always Artichoke, Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Early Espresso
Accessories:  Beveled Windowpanes, Cherry Cobbler seam binding.

Now just skip on over to see what Tammy has created this week.  I'm sure it will be wonderful!
Have a wonderful weekend!
