UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge

Thank you all so much for your kind words this past week as we said Goodbye to my sweet Mother.

This week's sketch is one I've been wanting to do for a long time.  If you kind of squint your eyes, the green pieces look like petals and the saying looks like a bloom.  Or maybe I just need new glasses????????

Anyway, here is our sketch for this week:

And here is my take on it:

Supplies:

Stamps:  Tags til Christmas
Ink:  Real Red
Cardstock:  Real Red, Whisper White, Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper

I'm posting this today because many of you have been with me through my Mother's long illness.  She is finally at peace and God blessed her with a very peaceful passing.  For anyone interested, Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm on Monday and the Funeral will be at 3pm on Tuesday.  Everything will take place at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery.

If you would like to honor my mother, Dollie Gardner, please plant your own flowers, wave to your neighbor, make amends with someone who angered you, be a better parent, a better friend, a better son or daughter and look forward to tomorrow while living for today.

I wanted to share this video with you today because I know this is what she is saying to us:

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge

Welcome to today's sketch challenge!  Mother is back in the hospital and is having a tough time.  They are giving her nutrition via a tube and she is not happy with it so they have asked a family member to be here 24/7 for the next couple of days.  Did I have my card done before they called?  Heck NO!!!!!  BUT, My Digital Studio came to the rescue and I can be here with Mother and get my card done at the same time.  How cool is that????  So, here's the sketch:

divasc200sketch

And here's my card:

Isn't this precious?  And you know why I can brag about how pretty it is??  It's a template straight out of the program.  I think it is soooooo cool that you can just pick a card that's already done and add a couple of things.  The only thing I added to this card was that I increased the size of the scallop below the greeting.  Easy peasy!

Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to stop by the UDI Blog to see what the other Designers have done!

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge 6/30

Hi everyone!  I hope you are getting ready for a fun 4th of July Week!!!  It is always fun to have a holiday in the middle of the week, you get two fridays!  A little update on Mother, she fell on Tuesday and fractured her Sacrum (the bone between your tailbone and your spine).  She was in a lot of pain and the pain medications caused some complications that have led to her ending up in ICU.  She's really sick and we appreciate all prayers and good wishes!  She will bounce back from this but I feel so bad for her right now!

So on to my card for this week.  A little Patriotic card for you.  Here's the sketch:
