First, I want to share my project. We are having a promotion at Stampin' Up! called Sale-A-Bration. For every $50 you spend, you get an item from our special Sale-A-Bration catalog FREE!!!! Such a deal!!! My project today uses one of the beautiful Designer Series Papers and a new set that I am really excited about called Sophisticated Serifs!!! I'll show you all the products I used right below the photo! Here's my project!
The Sophisticated Serifs makes GORGEOUS notecards! And I'm just using ONE of the beautiful designs in the Designer Series Paper!!!! I used one of our notecards and cut a piece of the Designer Series Paper to 4 3/4" x 3 1/4" (be sure to be careful of any one way pattern). The Sophisticated Serifs comes with the frame and it is cut so that you can place the alphabet letters inside it. So once you have built it on your clear block, you can stamp as many as you want! I stamped the image using Coastal Cabana ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and then just trimmed the image leaving about 1/8" of white around the edge. I cut a small piece of Calypso Coral Chevron ribbon and folded it in half and taped it to the back of the image. I then used Stampin' Dimensionals to mount it on the card. I used our Envelope Liners to cut a matching liner. Wouldn't this be a great gift???? Here's everything I used:
You can purchase all this and more through my online store HERE (if you have a Demonstrator already, please purchase through them)
So the next thing I need to do for the Blog Hop is to answer some questions for you. Here they are:
- What are you working on now? I am currently working on putting together a class that my downline and I are going to do together. I'm also working on February's techniques and projects for workshops as well as creating a Project Life by Stampin' Up! workshop that I will have monthly.
- How does your work differ from others in your genre? I actually don't think I differ that much but I love to be pretty eclectic and cover all styles. I love clean and simple but I also love shabby chic.
- Why do you create what you do? I am mainly a card creator but I am working hard on getting all my photos document. We have so many pictures of great-grandparents and distant relatives and we don't know who they all are. I want to be sure to document who is in my current pictures and little stories about what we are doing so the memories don't just become pictures.
- How does your creative process work? I work best under pressure so I tend to look at what's out on the internet and get an idea of what I want to do and then end up doing samples the night before a class. I'm working making myself work more in advance so I'm not doing things at the last minute. I know, it's sad but true LOL!
So this is the longest post I have ever done, I think!!! If you made it to the end CONGRATULATIONS!!! LOL!
Have a great week!
