Yesterday it was rainy and cool! Yay for fall! We were laughing that we needed to get our coats out because it was at least 70 degrees! So fall makes me think of Halloween and I love this little cat! Here's the sketch for this Saturday:
And here's my card:
This is actually a hybrid card. I don't have this adorable stamp in my hands yet and I couldn't wait so I downloaded him into my My Digital Studio2 program. This is an upgrade to My Digital Studio and has wonderful new tools. I was able to color individual words on this cat and then print him out! How cool is that! Also, I made a textured look to the background cardstock by taking a stamp pad of the same color as the cardstock and randomly dragging it across the cardstock. I call this the Dykhouse Drag because my friend, Barbara Dykhouse showed me how to do it. Here's the rest of the supplies for this card:
Stamps: Frightening Feline
Ink: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisteria Wonder
Cardstock: Basic Black, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper
Accessories: 3/8" Basics Glimmer Brads
Be sure to check out the Utah Divas International Blog to see what all the other Designer's have created. Also, if you are wanting to check out a great stamping Garage Sale, head out to The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie today for The Scrapbook Hoarder's Ultimate Garage Sale. OMG! Ruthie, this is just fabulous!!! I love the cat, and the background is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I was wondering how you managed to get all the different colors on the kitty. MDS! Brilliant! ;)
ReplyDeleteRuthie, this is awesome! Every time I see this cat I think I need to order it. But I have MDS 2+ so it must be in there! I love the name you gave to my "smooshing" technique. Too funny! I love you, Ruthie! :-)
