UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge

We are finally having some cooler weather (well in the 80s and low 90s at least) and it is supposed to rain all day today and tomorrow! 

When I saw this week's sketch, I knew I wanted to use it to promote our Butterfly Bundle special that has been going on this month so I made my card ahead of time (gasp!, don't fall over!) and used it in this month's Stamp Camp.

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge

Woo Hoo!!!!  We have rain here in Fort Worth.  While I know that the weather has been devastating in the Colorado area, we are grateful that it has come our way.  We so needed this rainy day and the cooler temperatures it brought.  While 77 degrees may still seem warm to a lot of you, it is a welcome relief to the over 90 degree days we have still been having.    I am getting ready for Banner Days and Scrapbook Saturday next weekend so I'm glad for the weather that makes me want stay inside and craft!

The cooler weather is also making me remember that Christmas is right around the corner and I better get started on my Christmas cards!!!!  So here's this week's sketch:

Here are the supplies I used:

Stamps:  Ornament Keepsakes
Ink:  Encore metallic Silver
Cardstock:  Pool Party, Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack
Accessories:  Silver embossing powder, Pool Party Seam Binding

The centers of the ornaments are Designer Series paper from the paper stack punched out with the 3/4" punch and the ornaments are popped up with dimensionals.

Cardstock:  Etcetera Designer Series Paper, Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla
Accessories:  5/8" Ribbon Trim

Yippee Skippee is not a set I normally would have ordered for myself.  We were all given this set at Convention and I am so glad I got it.  I was on Pinterest and saw someone alter this particular phrase and I though how fun it would be to play with it!  We've all been keeping our CEO/Co-Founder, Shelli Gardner, in our prayers lately after her fall from her horse so I thought I would alter the saying this way.

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge

Before I post this week's sketch, I would ask that you keep the family of Jerry Russell in your thoughts and prayers this week.  Jerry has been a beloved presence in the Fort Worth Theatre industry.  He was the founder of Stage West Theatre in Fort Worth.  Everyone who ever worked with him was truly blessed by his talent and generosity.

Also, Stampin' Up!'s CEO and Co-Founder, Shelli Gardner, took a really bad tumble during a horseback endurance ride in Utah.  She has many major fractured bones and will require months of physical therapy.  She is blessed to have a large family to support her but they will all need our prayers in the coming months as she faces the challenges of returning to full health.

Now on to this week's sketch.  I keep telling myself that Christmas is just around the corner so I decided to use this week's sketch for a simple card for the season.  Here's the sketch:
