Saturday Sketch Challenge 2/27

This weeks sketch was a lot of fun! I love this Designer Series Paper Pad that you can get FREE with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration and the image set is a FREE Hostess Set from Sale-A-Bration also!!!!! Such a deal!!! You can see the sketch for this week over on the UDI Blog here

Our special challenge this week was to use rub ons. Can you see where I used them? They are on the piece of cardstock under the image -- the polka dots!!!! Aren't they cute? They're part of the Eggcellent Eggs Kit in the Occasions Mini. This kit is meant to decorate eggs for Easter but I am also having a lot of fun using it for embellishments for cards!

Saturday Sketch Challenge 2/20

And now for a little something different!!! This week we are going to start what I call "Blog Skipping". Each week over at the UDI Blog we have a Sketch Challenge. You can see the sketch there as well as all the Design Team. This week we are going to start linking to each other so you can go straight through from Blog to Blog instead of having to view each blog and then pop back to the UDI blog to get the next Design Team Member link. Sooooo, you have come to me from Max's Blog.

I love this week's sketch and thought I'd do a St. Patrick's Day card since it often gets skipped over.

Stamps: Go Green
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Tea Party Designer Series paper
Ink: Basic Black and Certainly Celery Markers
Accessories: Scallop Corner Punch, Swiss Dot Impressions Folder, Circle Scissors, Metal Edge Tag, 5/8" Certainly Celery Grosgrain ribbon

Saturday Sketch Challenge 2/13

What a week!!!!! We have a foot of snow on the ground!! I'm 52 and this is the most snow I have seen here in Fort Worth in my life (and I've lived here since I was four). It was the best kind of snow, big fat flakes and perfect for snowmen. We didn't build one here at our house but the kids in neighborhoods around us had great fun. One neighbor even build a mini Igloo!!!

I'll have pictures later as my son (the real photographer) took the camera from here to Dallas today for pictures. However, I did manage to snag it from him to upload my card for today.

Today's sketch had a special challenge to use our least favorite colors. I have chose a piece of Designers Series Paper from the Razzleberry Lemonade pack. Everytime I look at this paper, I just don't want to use it BUT thanks to Carol's challenge, I kind of like how it turned out once I put it with some lighter colors. Hope you like it too! Be sure to check out the sketch and what the rest of the Design Team did over at the UDI Blog
