Cardstock:  Melon Mambo – One piece cut to 8 ½” x 5 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”
Basic White – four pieces: two pieces cut to 4” x 5 ¼”, one piece cut to 3” x 4 ¼” and one piece cut to 1” x 4 ½”
Bermuda Bay – two pieces; one piece cut to 3 1/8” x 4 3/8” and one piece cut to ½” x 5 ¼”
Stampin’ Blends: Dark Bermuda Bay
Stampin’ Write Markers: Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry
Accessories:  Adhesive of choice, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Adhesive Sheets, Flowering Vine Dies, Opal Rounds, Clear Acrylic Stampin’ Block (I used the “C” size), Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water
Technique:  Smack and Smoosh (I didn’t name it in the video but I thought this is a fun name to call itJ)

Directions:

Place a piece of cardboard over your work surface.  Use the Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write marker to scribble ink onto the acrylic block.  Spritz with water and smack it onto one of the 4: x 5 ¼” pieces of Basic White turning and smooshing the wet ink onto the cardstock.  Repeat this process with the Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write markers until the cardstock is covered with color ( Be sure to clean the block before each application of the marker so the colors don’t get muddied).  Set the piece aside to dry or dry with a heat tool being careful not to burn the paper.  Ink the large vine image with Melon Mambo ink and stamp it around the edges of the card front.  Clean the stamp and ink it with Bermuda Bay ink and stamp it onto the ½” x 5 ¼” piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock.  Adhere the Bermuda Bay strip of cardstock to the remaining 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and then adhere this piece to the inside of the card.  Use Melon Mambo ink to stamp the label image onto the 1” x 4 ½” piece of Basic White Cardstock.  Stamp the sentiment onto the label image using Melon Mambo ink and positioning it toward the left side of the label.  Use the corresponding label die in the Flowering Vine Dies to cut out the label.  Use the Dark Bermuda Bay Blends to line the edge of the label.  Being sure the “Smack and Smooshed” piece of cardstock is now dry, cut a matching piece of Adhesive sheet and adhere it to the back of the cardstock.  Cut the cardstock using the rectangular die from the Flowering Vine Dies.  Remove the backing from the Adhesive sheet and adhere the die cut piece to the 3” x 4 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock.  Adhere the label containing the sentiment to the lower right corner of this piece, trimming it flush with the right side (see photo).  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere this piece to the 3 1/8” x 4 1/8” piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock.  Adhere this piece to the card front.  Decorate using the Opal Rounds embellishments then send to someone who could use some kind thoughts!

These cards were featured on my Facebook Live on April 11, 2021 and feature the Happy Thoughts set and Ture Love Designer Series Paper.

Thank You Card

 Supplies:
Stamps:  Happy Thoughts
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Cardstock:  Basic Black – One piece cut to 3 ¾” x 5 ¼”
Basic White:  Two pieces – one piece cut to 3 5/8” x 5 1/8” and one piece cut to ¾” x 4”
Designer Series Paper (DSP):   True Love – 3 pieces; one piece cut to 5 ½” x 12”, one piece for cutting out the flower image and one piece cut to ¾” x 3 5/8””
Accessories:  Adhesive of choice, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Banners Pick a Punch, Stampin’ Trimmer, cutting and scoring template

Technique:   Diagonal Gatefold

 Directions:

Make the card base using the 5 ½” x 12” piece of DSP. With the 12” length along the top of the trimmer, use the score blade to score the DSP at 2”, 4”, 8” and 10”.  Using the template as a guide, measure down 2 ¾” from the top of the DSP and make a pencil mark on each side.  Cut from the score line at the 4” mark down to the 2 1/4” mark. On the left side and cut from the 8” score line to the 2 1/4" mark on the right side (See template).  Save the pieces that were cut away.  Fold along the 4” mark on the left side and then turn that side back at the 2” score line, repeat this on the right side so that when folded the two sides meet in the middle to create the Gate Card.  Adhere the pieces that were previously cut away to the bottom front of each panel, trimming as needed. (see photo).  “Fussy Cut” flowers from one of the pieces of DSP (see photo for the pattern I chose).  Use the Banners Pick a Punch to punch the right side of the ¾” x 4” piece of cardstock.  Use the Memento ink to stamp “Thank You” close to the banner end.  Attach the cut out flowers to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Slide the left end of the piece with the sentiment under the flowers and secure with adhesive, you will need to trim the left side of the piece so it does not show under the flowers or hang over the right side of the card.  Adhere the ¾” x 3 5/8”” piece of DSP to the 3 5/” x 5 1/8” piece of Basic White and then adhere this piece to the 3 ¾” x 5 ¼” piece of Basic Black.  Adhere this to the center panel on the inside of the card.  Enjoy!

Stamp the “Thank You” sentiment on the scrap of Basic White and punch out the sentiment using he Tailored Tag punch.  Punch another Tailored Tag from the scrap of Basic Black.  Cut the Basic Black punched piece in half horizontally and adhere to the back of the Basic White sentiment piece so that about ¼” of the black shows on the top and the bottom behind the sentiment piece (see photo for placement)  Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment piece and remove the backing but don’t adhere to the card front yet.  Cut a 10” length of the ribbon and fold it so that it is about ½ to ¾” wider than the sentiment piece of both sided (see photo).  Place this onto the dimensionals on the back of the sentiment piece.  You may need to apply some adhesive to the ribbon to adhere the whole piece to the card front.  Adhere the ¾” x 4” piece of DSP to the remaining 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White.  Stamp any sentiment desired and then adhere this piece to the inside of the card.  Send to someone you would like to thank!
