Adhere the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of DSP to the front of the Night of Navy card base (landscape orientation, see photo for pattern used).  Stamp the Cardinal image and the branch image onto one of the 4” x 5 ¼” pieces of Whisper White cardstock.  Cut out with coordinating dies.  Use the Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends to color the body of the Cardinal and the Light and Dark Mango Melody Blends to color the beak and the eye.  Color the branch with the Dark Soft Suede Blends, the leaves with the Dark Old Olive Blends and the berries with Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends.  Adhere the branch to the card front using adhesive of choice and adhere the Cardinal using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Use Night of Navy ink to stamp the sentiment (landscape orientation) onto the remaining 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  Adhere the ½” x 5 ¼” piece of DSP to the bottom of this piece and then adhere to the inside of the card.

Directions for both cards:

Use the Stampin’ Trimmer to cut the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of DSP at 3 ¼” along the 5 ¼” side.  This will give you two pieces – one 3 ¼” x 4” and one 2” x 4”.  Flip the 2” x 4” piece so the opposite side of the DSP is showing.  Adhere these two pieces to one of the 4” x 5 ¼” pieces of Very Vanilla Cardstock.  Cut 7” of the ribbon and place along the seam of the two pieces of DSP, wrapping to the back and securing with adhesive.  Cut another piece of ribbon about 12” long and tie a bow.  Secure to the ribbon on the card front.  Adhere this piece to the card base.  Use Garden Green/Real Red ink to stamp the “May Your Days Be Merry & Bright” sentiment onto the scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out with the coordinating dies.  Cut two leaves (swirls for the red card) from the Brushed Metallic Cardstock.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the greeting to the card front (see photo for placement.  Adhere the leaves (swirls for the red card) to the card front with the stems under the raised sentiment piece.  Use Garden Green/Real Red to stamp the “Merry Christmas” sentiment onto the remaining 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock.  Adhere the ½” x 4” piece of DSP to the bottom of this piece and then adhere to the inside of the card.
