These
cards were featured on my Facebook Live on February 28, 2021 and feature the Snail
Mail Suite featured on pages 54 – 55 of the January to June Mini Catalog
You’ve Got Mail Card
Supplies:
Designer Series Paper
(DSP): Snail Mail (see photo for patterns used) –five
pieces; one piece cut to 2 ¾”” x 5 ¼”, one piece cut to 1” x 5 ¼”, one piece
cut to ¾” x 2 ¾”, one piece cut to 3” x 4” and one Snail (die cut from DSP)

¼” section created by the score line to the inside of the card. This creates a “book” spine”. Adhere the ¾” x 2 ¾” piece of DSP to the 2 ¾”
x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock and adhere to the inside of the
card. Adhere the 2 ¾” x 5 ¼” piece of
DSP to the right side of the card front.
Use the Snail dies to cut an envelope from the 3” x 4” piece of DSP and
also to cut the snail matching the one on the You’ve Got Mail stamp. Fold the envelope and apply Multi-Purpose
adhesive just to the edges of the bottom flap.
Leave the top flap open. Use
Memento Ink to stamp the sentiment onto the

7/16” x 2 3/16” piece of Basic White Cardstock.
Adhere the snail cut from the DSP over the stamped snail image (instant
coloring!). Adhere the envelope to the
front of the card and slide the sentiment image just inside the envelope. Apply two Stampin’ Dimensionals to the top of
the sentiment to pop it up a little from the card front. Apply one of the Resin Hearts embellishments
to the heart on the envelope on the snail’s back. Send to someone who is needing a little mail!
Mushroom “Hello” Card
Supplies:
Real
Red – one piece cut to 1 ½” x 1 ½”
Blushing
Bride – one piece cut to 1 ½” x 1 ½”
Designer Series Paper
(DSP): Snail Mail (see photo
for patterns used) – three pieces; two pieces cut to 2 ½” x 4” and one piece
cut to ¾” x 5 ¼”
Directions:
Place
the the 4 ¼” x 11” piece of cardstock into the trimmer with the 11” length
along the top, score at 2 ¾” from each
end then trim 1/16” from each end (do not trim before scoring as the card will
not be the correct width when closed).
Fold along the score lines to establish the folds, the two sides will
meet in the middle with a small gap for the sliding mechanism. Adhere a 2 ½” x 4” piece of DSP to each of
the two sides of the card front. Achere
the ¾” x 5 ¼” piece of DSP to the bottom portion of the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of
Basic White Cardstock. Cut one of the
larger mushroom dies from the 1 ½” x 1 ½” pieces of Basic White and Real Red
Cardstock. Cut the stem portion of the
Basic White mushroom and adhere it to the stem portion of the Real Red mushroom. Adhere the Real Red mushroom to the 1 ½” x 1 ½”
piece of Blushing Bride cardstock and trim around it so the Blushing Bride
cardstock is the same size and the Real Red mushroom cap. This will allow the Blushing Bride to show
through holes on the mushroom cap.
Adhere this mushroom right above the ¾” x 5 ¼” piece of DSP which is
adhered to the 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White cardstock.
Use Real Red ink to stamp the “Hello” sentiment to the right of the
mushroom and directly above the DSP strip.
Adhere this piece to the inside of the card. Use the Stampin’ Trimmer to score two of the 3”
x 3” pieces of Bermuda Bay at 1 ½”. Fold
these two pieces in half and adhere them with the folds in the middle to one of
the other 3” x 3” pieces of Bermuda Bay.
Adhere the fourth piece of 3” x 3” Bermuda Bay cardstock on top of the
folded pieces making a sandwich with the folded pieces in the middle. This is the locking mechanism for the card. Use
the Snail die cuts to cut a frame from one of the 3” x 3” pieces of Basic White
cardstock. With the frame still in the
die, use a Blending Brush and Bermuda Bay ink to apply ink around the edges of
the frame. When you remove the frame,
you will have a white edge all the way around with the Bermuda Bay ink blended
into the center. Adhere this frame to
the 3” x 3” locking mechanism. Use Memento ink to stamp the mushroom image onto
the remaining 3” x 3” piece of Basic White cardstock. Cut the image out using the coordinating die
from the Snail dies. Color the image as
follows: Light and Dark Real Red Blends
for the mushroom cap, Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write marker for the spots and
underside of the mushroom; Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Blends for the
tallest small mushroom; Light and Dark Bermuda Bay for the smallest mushroom
and the “swirl” and Dark Granny Apple Green for the leaves and the blades of
grass. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to
adhere this image to the frame. The
mechanism will now slide onto the two pieces of the card front and “lock” the
card shut.
